The manga saga had a pretty solid storyline, then the author made this character out of nowhere and ruined the entire storyline, changed a lot of important things, just to make his mary sue the "all great cool guy". Emerald saga was a colossal shit, rushed to real, with no real reason. His character was also annoying as fuck.
Let's point some shit:
1- Yellow arc was great and introduced a great, solid character. GREAT SHIT could be made out of firered, but they created a rushed shit with a bizarre ending, just to create a lead for emerald intro.
2- All of the emerald saga was about everyone bitching about how big emerald's dick was and how he was great at everything.
3- Ruby/Sapphire had the FUCKING CHAMPION dying because his body couldn't handle the process of controling Regice. It's also stabilished that all the legendaries are unique. Raikou, in a early saga, submit to a powerful trainer just to defeat a bigger evil. In this saga, one of the frontier brains controls the raikou, the other one controls ALL the regis like it was nothing. Their capture was pretty pathetic too, as they were walking in the grass.
THE MOTHERFUCKING CHAMPION DIED because of one. An asshole could control 3. Backfire? Power? Just forget about this shit, gotta give more love to our mary sue.
Must remember: The so called "brain" had 3 legendaries. wasted 2 of them using selfdestruct to beat a BASIC POKÉMON.

That was jus a small point. I could keep on writing, but it would take a bible to describe all the bulshit.
