Honestly, no.
I grew up in the glory days when pokemon exploded from quiet whisperings on the playground to the massive entity it is now. I dragged my poor mom to take me to a tournament 3 hours away just to get a Jirachi that it turned out I already had from the Colosseum bonus pre order disc back in the early 2000s. I've pre ordered both versions of every single main entry game and maxed the clocks on RBC and E before the batteries died. Stadiums 1, 2, Colosseum, and xd were fully finished and I used to be known for walking people through gen 1's Rock Tunnel over the phone without them having Flash. I've played competitively, been a team checker for people who've won local tournaments, and have poured thousands of hours and hundreds of dollars into the franchise. I was basically
serebii.net incarnate up to gen 4 (lost that over the years). Pokemon was there for me when people weren't, and looking back at the pokemon I've imported since gen 3 brings me right to the good and bad times over the years.
The other day I was up 6-2 on a triple battle and just turned the 3ds off mid battle. Couldn't get into it. Before that I had tried to start a new game on Y. Beat the Rock gym leader (fucking unmemorable gym leaders these days) and it's been sitting there for a week. Every time I turn it on I make it to the Stonehenge town and just can't force myself to play more. ORAS hasn't gained any hype from me at all despite the potential for an amazing postgame and secret base exploration. The excitement pokemon brought has disappeared, and even as a time-killer it has lost its appeal.
tl;dr- no
