Anybody else having shiny woes? I'm currently breeding for a shiny Froakie using the Masuda Method+Shiny Charm and I've got noooothing. At 3,284 eggs currently... i need hope!

I've never had a shiny despite playing pokemon since it came out in the US.

And yes, I know shinies were introduced in gen 2.

I've read that as well.. Smogon did some MM+Shiny Charm testing and their numbers came to about 1/400, along with other raw numbers I've seen it seems to be about 1/600ish. Even with 1/1024 I should have had at least 3 by now -_-

I was in the same boat until yesterday. I had been trying to breed rufflets for a month now, with no success. then yesterday I was just walking around and found a shiny hariyama. don't lose hope.

Haha, I caught two of my three Kalos shinies today EV horde training. Within an hour of each other. Also, no shiny charm. I know their IVs are probably bad, but still. I might be able to get some GTS shit with them.

I've bred around ~350k eggs since G/S/C and I haven't had a single shiny.

Also, I've only found ONE shiny, in all my years. Was on an Emerald replay, and I my jaw dropped when I saw that. Got myself a shiny Trapinch that day, no fucks given about stats/nature/IVs (It was a wild one anyway). Now I have a beautiful shiny Flygon that's always transferred to the latest game.

Just chained well over 60 for a shiny Gothorita. Nature is shit but Victorique has 31 in SpAtk, SpDef and Spe so I can't complain too hard.

I've hatched about 8000 eggs, and I received three charmanders, ALL of which had a deficit, typically in an IV I couldn't afford to shrug off (special attack, HP and speed). I've given up for now.

I used Powersaves to Shinify my best Froakie, only 6IV I had. I'm not spending another 5 months in front of a DS hatching eggs for bits of data. I'm not sorry.

She's a damn good Greninja now, knocks everything away with a Special Protean set!
