And the 3DS came out three years ago, why would they want them to rush out a Pokemon game for a system that was keeping itself afloat?

This shit will never make sense to me. Let's spend the entire game training the player how to do single battles, and then completely fuck them over by making tournaments doubles, where most of those tactics fail completely. It wouldn't be too bad if there was a nice balance, but you can count the number of double battles during the story on one hand.
