i've been working on doubles but it's sort of a bitch. my current team is exploud & mr. mime with ferrothorn and dragonite as support but i know that to get to 50 i will probably have to go with something more reliable. input? what's the most brutal doubles team? bonus points if it doesn't involve lucario, talonflame, or aegislash

Mat Block, plus something that has a 100 acc spread move (EQ, Surf, etc.) and can set up with a free turn (DD, Swords Dance, Shell Smash, etc.)

You can throw in something to switch out to if you don't want Greninja to get hit with EQ/Surf/Boomburst/whatever. I personally used Greninja, Dragonite, Char Y, and Rotom-H (to absorb status).

Mega-Obama is crazy powerful, but unfortunately doesn't do well against powerful things the Maison might throw at you, like Bravest Bird. Even in Trick Room, it's got priority so it kinda fuck you over.

I have a team based around trick room that I use for singles. Turns out the IA is shit at handling trick room. IIRC I used Eviolite Porygon-2, Focus Sash Flash Fire Chandelure, Mega Mawile and physical Dragonite (eq/waterfall/exspeed/dragonclaw to support Mawile).

I've only done singles so far.

I led with M-Garchomp. My other slots switched between Bulk Up Conkeldurr, Ferrothorn and CB Talonflame. Was really easy.

For the chetelaine battle I used a scarfed Greninja and banded Salamence iirc.

Increases. In Super Singles on my 97th or 98th battle, the opponent was running a suicide team in Trick Room (you lose if it's a tie), which nearly got me. It was literally Explosion Golem, Destiny Bond Dusknoir, and Destiny Bond Cofagrigus. Would've gotten me if I didn't correctly predict the last DB and went straight for the kill since I had the shot.

I feel the bullshit gets to maximum levels at 41+. By that point I assume that anything that hits will crit and have its secondary effect at crucial moments, anything with a Quick Claw will always get it to work so I use priority, and anything that has a OHKO move will make it connect so I target it first.

Veterans aren't even the worse part of it.

Forgive me anon-senpai, but I've already given up on Multi Battles. I got all the other trophies on my first or second try and lost at Multi Battles literally over 40 times until I decided to give up. The difficulty spike is completely beyond my understanding and I just can't do it with the AI partner. Any tips?

I was in your position until I realized one of my AI partners had a Scarfed Entei. Then I just used Charizard Y (with Krookodile in the back) and my win streak got to 90 before I finally lost to a Latios accompanied by a Slowbro.

So just look for a Scarfed Entei.

Always use Tierno as partner. Start with Dragonite as lead, Kang second, then change the lead to Aegislash once the random Ice shit starts rolling in.

I just started doing Doubles today (did the regular Maison). I used Assault Metagross, Life Orb Azumarill, Specs Gothitelle and my singles lead Galvantula. I know that's not a viable set for the Super rounds based on how I had to deal with the Singles, but how should I go about making a better set? Do I just go for power and coverage or is stall viable?

tierno is actually the partner i had the most success with, though i encountered what i can only assume is a glitch where he would lead with talonflame instead of hawlucha. did this ever happen to you? regardless of what it was, it was extremely helpful since i was using tyranitar/mega chomp, and having brave bird in the lead picked off most fighting types no problem. i managed to get to 40+ battles 8/10 times, but could never get to 50.

Stall isn't viable in dubs, but it's still a good idea to bring something bulky that can trade shots with the enemy. Type coverage is always a good thing, and make sure to have some spread moves.

I usually set up sun and start spam mum Heat Wave and Solar Beam. These three have such good synergy that I can pretty much throw any three in the back who are semi-competent and get to 50. Very Gand when I want all possible ribbons for each of my competitive mons.
