>>19951648>HitmontopIt's fine. I would run HJK>CC because I feel like lowering your defenses defeats the purposes of being a wall. I would consider a more utility-based set though. I personally run toxic-stall with rapid spin/toxic/protect/mach punch with HP and Sp.D evs. But your bulky attacker set probably works too, I just don't see it that often. If anyone has experience with offensive hitmontop they could probably help you more.
>Chesnaughtdrop it. I think bulletproof is a really cool ability but I feel like chesnaught can't really shine here. If you want a tanky physical-attacking grass-type, use tangrowth. If you want a leech seed user, use trevenant or eviolite ferroseed (I dunno if that's still a thing with knockoff being more viable but it's probably still alright). I would also consider Amoonguss as a generally good grass-type.
A couple sets:
Tighter (Tangrowth) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Power Whip
- Poison Jab
- Earthquake
PW for stab, Knock off for utility/ghosts, poison jab for fairies (mostly florges - fuck florges), EQ for steels. You could drop assault vest for leftovers or Life Orb and add leech seed if you want leech seed on your team, though I think AV tangrowth works really well. Life Orb does synergize really well with regenerator though, because you can heal back the HP you lost from LO just by switching out.
Cherry Fantasia (Amoonguss) (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Clear Smog
- Giga Drain
- Spore
- Hidden Power [Fire]
Clear Smog stops non-steel non-sub set-up users, Giga Drain is decent STAB that helps you survive, spore is spore. HP Fire is mostly for scizor/forre which are OU problems, so I would replace it with synthesis (more survivability), toxic/stun spore (if you like dual status), foul play (physical attackers) or sludge bomb (fairies/grass-types and stronger STAB)
hope this helps!
