So I'm playing through White for the first time, just beat Team Plasma in the Pinwheel Forest.

Apart from the terrible music, bland shitty colorless graphics/art style, and overly dramatic retard plot/characters, I don't really see why 5th generation gets shit all over. I'm enjoying it, and I adore all the new 5th generation mons.

And holy shit that Plasma Grunt theme is easily the worst song I've ever heard in a Pokemon game. Ever. Like what the fuck. Who made that.

Well yeah Pinwheel and that cave earlier had pretty nice music. And the towns aren't too bad.

It's no generation 4 when it comes to music, that's for sure.

I get so pissed off when people praise the music in gen V. The fucking champion battle theme butcher's a classic heartpumping tune and makes it sound like it's straight out of goddamn Shadow the Hedgehog with seemingly random techno beats.

I really liked the animated sprites, though. It makes the whole game timeless. The plot also tackled an important issue with Pokemon as a whole. It was executed pathetically however.

All and all, I thought gen IV was worse. It was the same fucking thing as the last gen, but with the best goddamn legendary to ever grace Pokemon: Satan Dragon Giratina

i was pretty much over pokemon before i played black, the last pokemon i've played was HeartGold.
A girl i knew (a couple of years younger than me) was complaining about the game was so fucking hard and i as a experienced pokemon player since red said she should get gut. i accepted her challenge to play it and i got mixed feelings
at first i disliked it a lot, the friends/rivals were shit, i didn't like any starter but ended up picking oshawott by chance and it kinda grew on me. i disliked most of the first routes pokemon, though later some great designs came, so while i advanced blindly, putting together a team of the ones i liked ended up arriving on the E4 with no holdback at any point of the game. finally i defeated Alder while the girl that needed to get gut was still struggling with ___N___.
it seemed quite easy, there was a nurse in every cave or route that was far form a poke center, you are given a lucky egg mid game, the leaders are not worthy opponents, the E4 is not too much either, N and Ghestis are the most challenging plot trainers from the game but still not that hard (i didn't even use reshiram) and Alder is fucking pathetic. you can destroy half his team with a fire or rock attack, it was one of the most underwhelming champs yet. i had a good time though, but if i were to replay a gen V game it would be BW2 every time

tl;dr: its not a great game, definately not the best pokemon, but quite enjoyable

Well hopefully the game will maintain difficulty due to the fact that I exclusively use pre-evos prior to the E4, and have done so in every game since Emerald.

It's so fun that I simply can't play the story any other way. Now with things like hidden abilities on starters, I hope it will give people some incentive to keep their starter unevolved. Save the evos for post-game breeding.
