>>19929166Hey Shipp, longtime fan of yours. I still find myself quoting Smashtasm's better lines from time to time, and your fourth-wall-breaking style had a large influence on my writing when I was younger.
When you first started this new Pokémon series, I assumed it would be a one-off cliche animation test. I'm sure the first one started off that way, but it was surprisingly funny and charming enough to be well-liked. When you made the second one, I thought you were just capitalizing on the success of the first one, but again I was surprised by its quality and how much you clearly cared about what you were putting out there.
This time, though, you had an expectation to meet, as I assumed it would be good. And I have to say, Shippidge, that I didn't expect to like these characters as much as I am. Bulbasaur especially is just so endearingly funny. You have a real knack for writing overly-positive characters that are just sort of along for the ride (see: Lamp). It's also nice to see this series veer away from your usual style of breaking the fourth wall every other line -- which was funny -- but this keeps this series fresh and accessible.
The animation is nice, and I'm sure this series will provide good practice in what I assume is some sort of future in 3D animation. It is distracting that Bulbasaur is constantly bobbing up and down, though.
Anyway, enough cradling your balls. I liked the series a lot, and would encourage you to do more episodes, because it's great seeing you pump out content again.
Also, who voiced May and Rosa?
