Talk about all the shitty rom hacks you play.

I just wiped on my Fire Red Omega nuzlocke and I'm looking for others to check out.

Any other 3rd gen rom hacks that don't fuck with the story and are just 386/difficulty hacks? I've heard of Expert Emerald, any good?

I think that Ultraviolet just allows you to get all the mons from the first three gens and evolve trade evolutions.

Yet Another Firered Hack too, but that one changes more (movesets, abilities, base stats, trainers and gyms) plus adds pokemon from all four gens (but there's still only 150 in the game, so there are some gen 1s that aren't present).

I was interested in Yet Another Firered Hack, but they took out the Sevii Islands, which was the only part of FireRed and LeafGreen that I found interesting.

Might give it a go anyway.

Anyone know any hacks of gen 3 that remake gen 2?
I beat Liquid Crystal (and a bit of the post-postgame) but they added gen 3 Pokemon to the loadout of all the gym leaders, increased the levels of the gym leaders by about 10, added extra overpowered rivals that helped the game turn crucial plot into their own fanfiction starting late in Johto.
I started Shiny Gold but immediately gave up after having to fight a newly added person right outside of New Bark Town.
Crystal Dust seems to be the best I've found out of those 3 since it actually remakes gen 2 without adding any extra shit, but only Johto and the Elite 4 is accessible and the last update was in 2012.
So if anyone knows something completed that doesn't add shit I'd like to know about it.

Also, why do these ROM hackers add all this stuff to things said to be remakes?

The best is definitely light platinum.
You get a starter from each region there's two sets of elite fours over 20 legend arises and u vs ash, Steven and red. The victory roads are also short.

Can anybody give me a good opinion on Glazed? I hear it's pretty decent considering it's got three full regions, one of which being Johto. The extra field moves kinda bother me, but I can be okay with it if it's pretty fun.
