It's coverage is godly because anything that resists Shadow Ball gets fucked by Sacred Sword, so the switch-in is a coinflip. Even if you do predict right and manage to switch into a resisted attack, you're pretty much still guaranteed to get fucked. I'll show you a couple example involving Bisharp, a common Aegislash check.
You switch Bisharp into Aegislash's Shadow Ball, it does about 40% damage even resisted because it hits like a nuke. This Bisharp is Adamant, as advised. You use Knock Off, but, alas! this Aegislash happens to be max Speed +Speed nature, so it outspeeda your Bisharp by a single point and OHKOs with Sacred Sword. Too bad!
Same situation, you switch Bisharp in safely, yet this one is Jolly. The Aegislasg is running Leftovers so even after SR, maybe a layer of Spikes, and a Kings Shield, its back at 100%HP. You use Knock Off, it's super effective...but because it's a Jolly Bisharp, with a 95BP STAB LO attack, it hangs on with a few HP, and KOs back with Sacred Sword.
It's simultaneously way too bulky and powerful, with godly coverage and utility.
