I love how a lot of the events that Japan gets are competitively viable (Shift Gear/Blaze Kick/Extremespeed Genesect, V-create/Blue Flare/Bolt Strike/Glaciate Victini, and now Moonblast Jirachi) while everyone else gets shit like plain Magmar/Electabuzz. This shit needs to stop.

Context. I've seen Serebii say repeatedly that context is key to the events and if the event loses context, it won't be brought over.

He also said we didn't get Red Genesect due to the movie coming out at the same time as X & Y.

Funny that you mention this. I managed to grab myself a gen 4 deoxys because i got pokemon ranger guardian signs from Gametraders. It was american (esrb logo covered by a "G" sticker) so i was wondering if i could perhaps get the wifi event for deoxys and lo and behold, It worked!

I convinced my friend to get it as well so we could grind for attack forme deoxys with meteor mash. I was the only one who ever caught them all in gen 3 and 4 because i was a persistent motherfucker. Even got myself a japanese celebi from colosseum.
