This cartoon was nothing but wasted potential. People don't want to watch a bunch of dialogue. We want to watch fuckin well-made pokemon fights.

I agree. The only Gym Battles we saw were Brock and Giovanni. We didn't even seen the Elite 4 or Blue battles, just stills.

because pokemon in action is basically cockfighting despite the shitty "BUT THE POKEMON LIKE GETTING KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS" counter-arguments they presented in Gen 5. If you are a sane person and they realistically portrayed most of the moves in Pokemon (not just Seismic Toss or Mega Punch), it would make you uncomfortable.
