OP here, just finished the first two episodes. Gonna give my opinion on them quick. Also watching ENG dub since why not.
Episode one was overall pretty good, a little nitpicky since they didn't really mention the Viridian Gym considering how much mystery that place had as a kid when I first played Yellow. Viridian Forest would've been nice too but oh well. Solid episode
Episode Two was a lot better in some regards. Unfortunately since the series is only 4 episodes , it was bound to have some timeskips and I really wanted to see all gym battles but oh well. Again due to timeskips, no S.S. Anne, Diglett Cave, or Rock Tunnel. Jesus, the animation and audio is just perfect. That Cubone scene with Marowak dying actually had me tearing up a little. You could hear the sadness in Cubone's tone and I'm sad over it. Again they had to mess with the story just a little and had the Silph Scope at Pokemon Tower since Team Rocket Hideout would've taken a whole episode probably.
So far my favorite thing is just noticing the little things people say and the trainer classes that appear. My favorite had to be the Lady/NPC that said "Oh do you believe in ghosts? Oh no? Oh I must be imagining that hand on your shoulder then." I remember that crap scaring me as a kid and it's just nice for us people who always look for the little things.
