You're missing the point. The problem is why they even classified it as a fairy in the first place, regardless of just getting the re-typing this gen.

I have no clue what you're talking about. Yet I know that's a shitty analogy. If they design Pokemon that are clearly named after fairies, and other Pokemon that are also based/named after fairies are fairy type, then it's bullshit that they aren't fairy type. It's that simple.

Exactly, now why would Granbull participate in that if it couldn't even get off to it. Due to Granbull being classified as a "Normal" type when this footage was taken. Wouldn't it make more sense for Granbull to participated in it, if it would get off to it more? Like if it got super effective damage from such an act?

Trolls are historically a kind of fairy (I consider Granbull to be a kind of troll). Fairies aren't cute girly things with wings, most european legendary creatures that weren't dragons were considered fairies. I was actually disappointed Mismagius didn't get fairy type, since banshees are very much fairies.

"Fairy" isn't just cutesy pixie shit in actual mythology.

Normal is basically a "nothing" type. There is no element associated with it. The Togi line's type change is more necessary than swapping Jirachi's Psychic with Fairy.
