it has a 110 bp scald (coming off 130 spa) to compliment its already good 120 defense stat, and can run assault vest to patch up its spdef. plus has useful resists/a water immunity.

Don't forget it only has 3 weaknesses in ground, rock and electric
And its STAB can clear help two of those problems so electric is the only real issue.

Well it can't be perfect, I mean Ice/Waters can't get Scald so it makes sense that a Fire/Water couldn't use Ice Beam. Still bullshit any other water type can get both.

hoopa is such wasted potential. introducing a mon 4x weak to dark in gen 6 with no defense, no speed and a shit ability. i like its signature move though, 80 bp that hits through protect coming off 150 spa is cool. it'll do well in the lower tiers at least

I mean in the competitive scene. Its a bulky fire type legendary and going to be used like it just like Heatran, it has a specially based move that has a high burn chance like Heatrans Lava Plume, an immunity to an otherwise neutral attack except this one will heal it, the only difference is this wont have a x4 weakness but will be more vulnerable to entry hazards, so almost like a second Heatran.

Hoopa is the worst thing they have done in gen 6. Choice Band Shuckle can ohko it. Foul Play Ohkos no matter what your situation is.

It saving grace is that it has the same special bulk as Latias and that meaty ass special attack along with coverage in Focus Miss. Those two alone will probably keep it out of NU.

Rock waifu isn't very resettable. It's locked Adamant nature with ATK as its only 31 IV. Its other IVs range from 12-13 for special stats and like 18-23 for the rest
