So Mega Swampert is coming with Swift Swim.
My current penta-perfect Swampert is Adamant.
I'm guessing that if a Mega Swampert wants to outspeed dominant OU threats after Swift Swim with Adamant nature, its base speed will need to increase.
What kind of base speed stat would be required for an Adamant Mega Swampert to be viable? Or should I just start breeding for Jolly?

Assuming the speed stays 60, you are going to tie with max speed Jolly MegaAlakazam if SS is active. You are gonna be fine.

60 base speed makes it outrun nase 120s with the right investment IIRC.

Adamant is fine
Invested speed with a neutral nature is 219 at lvl100

There isn't anything with over 438 speed in OU, it ties with M-Alakazam and M-Aerodactyl in rain

One of the biggest threats would be scarfers with grass moves

At level 50. Neutral Max Base 60 is 112, assuming Swift Swim that is 224, Base 150 positive is 222.
For level 100, it hits 219 and with 438, you're tying with the same base.

That assuming max Speed. If base the base speed is buffed at least by 10 points, you won't need max Speed investment to outrun almost everything.

Thanks for the advice. I should add that my current Swampert is EV'd for Atk and HP, so he might have to chow down on some Pomeg berries and retrain for speed at least

Honestly OP, you can't plan this out until we have information as to his MEvo base stat boosts.

If he gets a bit of Speed, you won't need Jolly to outrun what you want, you're underestimating how big a boon Swift Swim (+ the speed boost from MEvoing we're assuming here). Adamant will be great.

If speed doesn't increase/doesn't increase by more than 10BS, and judging by the bulky design this may be the case: You'll want Jolly.
