Since Shiftry is being played up as Sidney's ace the first time around I think that their rematch teams will have Megas that aren't their aces. So

Steven is already confirmed the Champion, and I can't see Juan/Wallace taking over for Wallace/Steven like people have been saying. Their both Water-types and the E4/Champ always gets stronger after the first run through anyways, no need to replace him, Steven isn't N.

Why though? Emerald had Gym Leader rematches, OR/AS probably will too, every game has had pumped up E4/Champ rematches, OR/AS probably will too. What is the point in shuffling them around?! If you want to refight Wallace? Go to the Sootopolis Gym, he'll be stronger have more Pokemon. You want to refight Steven? Go fight the E4 and their powered up teams, then fight a more powerful Steven? Is this all just an obsession with Juan or what? He'll probably be in Contests like Aarune with Secret Bases, or like Fantina/Jasmine/Johanna were in Super Contests in Platinum.

That's what I'm saying, no way would they have Mega Pokemon the first run through, but for rematches I could see it, especially since Sidney's ace isn't Absol in his first match anymore (at least seemingly).
