I like the prediction game as is in 3v3, don't care much for games to go one way or another because of bad prediction / usage of protect.

Something gets banned from OU, people move to the next best thing which at the moment might be UU but then gets bumped to OU due to people using it. Then UU players don't get to use it any more.
Something gets unbanned from ubers? It knocks several pokemon down from OU into UU and then that goes down a chain.
What happens in OU affects all the tiers below it, and Smogon really only care about OU, all the other tiers are just incidental.

It's easier to stop BP chains now than it ever was before since phazing moves got some better distribution and there's even a hold item that'll force your opponent out as long as you don't get oneshot in the process. The only thing that puts a stop to roar/whirlwind is Espeon which granted was common on BP teams, but there's still plenty of options to prevent BP abuse.

I mean, Diggersby of all things checks most Aegislash rather well, and I think some might remember how much I used that thing. Of course, it works best in 3vs3. In 6vs6, Diggs is too likely to get nicked or worn down, or else your other teammates are going to take a lot of hits, trying to keep Diggs alive to kill Aegislash.
And of course Diggersby isn't the only answer, but it is the only I use the most, for obvious reasons.
