Kanto was boring as shit but the whole 'first game' excuse i'll let slide
Johto was pretty good since it gave more details on rooms, both gen 2 and gen 4 versions
Hoenn is basically just gen 1 with different people in them, that's not acceptable
Sinnoh was pretty okay, it was still a box room but at least in platinum they added shit to fit the themes
Unovas was arguably the best, the rooms were actually different and had interesting ways to get to them
Kalos was flashy and detailed but for the most part just recoloured rooms and glass
