I think there is just too much evidence at this point to think this won't happen.
Just like X/Y, they've causalized ORAS. Pokemon have there levels lowered, trainers have less Pokemon and gyms have less trainers.
Sure Phoebe has a Dusknoir now but personally I think they'll make it so all Elite Four members will have only 4 Pokemon just like X/Y.
Also, although I somewhat agree to the Less Pokemon = Less Exp argument, I've played X/Y to the point that I know this is not true, it's a lot easier to take down 1 strong Pokemon with a team of 6 weaker Pokemon then it is to take down a team of 4-6 Pokemon with a team of 6 strong ones, also, it's a lot more fun.
The purpose of this thread is to discuss what your going to do to make the games harder if they have made the games easier, adding additional rules, etc.
