Wouldn't the phrase "real Pokemon" encompass either none due to all being fictional or all due to being in the universe presented? IN a different viewpoint, you could look at it as "true" being an implication of a pinnacle, which suits the stuff in Ubers perfectly as the strongest shit out there. Unless, of course, you're taking "real" to mean Pokemon dependent on being bred for perfection, and maybe even traded to evolve, in which there are Pokemon capable of greatly outclassing others, like Aegislash, Scizor, Rotom Wash and the rest of Smogon's OU: The Team: The Experience.
tl;dr: "Real" wasn't the best word choice due to the possibility of varied interpretation.
