I like the metagames they create, and the general attitude they have about making the competitive more fun. I don't particularly like their forums are so separated from the main site, which leads to morons thinking that the strategy dex is the only part of the site without knowing anything about tiers.

will Mawile really get suspected? I guess it will be a lot better with Aegislash gone but it's so slow and sucker punch really is one of the most overrated moves at this stage of the meta. We've already learned to play M-Khan, Bisharp, M-Absol etc. etc. and sucker punch needs a huge asterisk next to it when someone mentions a pokemon having access to priority. I don't think anything else will be suspected until ORAS breaks the metagame with new move tutors

Pokemon requires so much more intelligence and skill than games that aren't for children. The amount of people that just can't understand even the most absolutely basic things like Natures/IVs/EVs is ridiculous, let alone team building, moveset and speed tier memorisation, damage estimation, prediction, executing strategy, identifying win clauses etc. There's a reason so many people stick with the games that goes beyond nostalgia. If you don't play for the competitive side you are a nostalgic manchild whose best days are most likely long behind you :^)

ToTT: Smogon's tiers are great, their bans usually make the meta more fun (people who complain about Smogon banning any pokemon probably never played against Shaymin-S) but I hate how they latch onto buzzwords/phrases, the new one is 50/50 but before that it was muh momentum)

I love Mawile as a 'mon but it's so frustrating to play against.
"50/50" is almost becoming a buzzword on Smogon now but M-Mawile and Aegislash definitely are the biggest cause of it.

What are the thoughts on Analytic Magnezone?
The idea seems nice and I'm expecting people to not even try to switch as Magnet Pull is so common, but breeding for one is a pretty damn big hurdle.

I haven't played much UU, but I'm pretty sure Hippo was the closest thing to a counter Magnezone had, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

I just bred a perfect one a few days ago, havnt gotten to test it out but I put Full EVs into SPATK and split the rest into DEF and SPDEF evenly for durability. My hope is to lead with a damp rock rain dancer and then switch out for 100 acc thunder and such. Probobly wont work out but its fun to try.

Would you suggest Quiet or Modest?
Quiet could get you a bunch of Analytic hits you'd normally not get, but with the standard EV spread and Modest you'd still outspeed Skarm if it decides to not switch.

You need a fly spam check so keep either Thundurus or Heatran, probably Thundurus.

Intimidate is actually really useful and gives him set-up opportunities, definitely better.

Moxie can be good but it's very situational, you can almost always get value out of Intimidate.

Add 40 Speed on scizor and take away from HP. Jolteon is outclassed by Raikou so I recommend that. Alakazam has sanic speed taunt and dazzling gleam is pretty useless. And lastly take the attack on gliscor and put those EVs into speed/sp.def, and run toxic over roost or protect.

This isn't as important but since there is a new Baton Pass team going around you may want Haze on milotic over Ice Beam but that's optional

Not really.
Gourgeist shouldn't be used, sylveon is best physically defensive, give Hawlucha max spd for speed ties, banded talonflame, and Mega chomp is better adamant with a blend of speed/hp with outrage, eq, fire blast, SD

Is Jellicent really RU? I was on Smogon to check it's sets and it's listed as RU despite having all of his sets marked as OU. I also read the discussion page and it's apparently been locked because it's such a bad Pokemon.

Watch VGC matches and understand the playstyle of it and build your team around the biggest threats and always have a dedicated check or counter for them (especially megamom)

Try and make a team with synergy. Pairing up the correct pokemon is really important. For example Mega Charizard Y and Chlorophyll Venusaur work well together because they have complimentary abilities and also cover some of their weaknesses. Teams can be whatever you want as long as it's well thought out.

Also, it fell to RU because it had extremely stiff competition in UU as a bulky water, especially considering how it's only bulky on the special side in a tier where all the fire types are physical. There are also heavy hitting Dark types that rip right through it.

mag+puff form a really potent offensive core
I don't think there are glaring flaws with your team
my question is what your gameplan is. cm puff is good at luring in the physical walls and clearing a sweep, but idk if feraligatr is the best for that role...then agian, it's feraligatr and he's just too damn good in the tier right now

Yeah man, dat battle anxiety. I got past 1600 and couldn't bring myself to play for like a week, ladder decay dropped me back down to mid-1500s.

Anyone else feel that they have to intentionally make an effort to include a Fairy resist on a team of 6? I mean, only one pokemon on my team is weak to Fairy but I have no resists.
