Kanga was probably one of the most bashed, alongside Garchomp. People said stupid shit like "hurr, just a choice band", without understanding the actual power that the ability to have Choice Band+no restriction on moves brings.

No wonder Smogon thinks we're all retards. But yes, you're right about Sceptile. I want him to be good, and there's nothing saying he necessarily won't, but he'll need either some damn nice stat placement, or a few new moves. If the situation lends right, he may be a great way of dealing with a lot of the top tier speed threats, (barring Talonflame and M-Pinsir) considering that he shits on Rotom and has an edge of Thundurus (who are also some the two prime volt-switching candidates). People do underestimate how great a huge raw speed stat can really be.
