It's not that bad, actually.
>60 BP 1st turn (40x1,5 technician boost)
>80 BP 2nd turn (40x2 cuz fury cutter increase)
>160 BP 3rd turn (40x2x2 cuz doubles every turn)
and add stab to all that. it's actually quite viable considering you get a boost on the first turn, making that first turn somewhat usable.

The only problem is that Bug coverage is abysmal. Using Aerial Ace or Wing attack will net you 270 accumulated BP over three turns, which is just shy of the 300 you get on the ramp up turns of Fury Cutter, with the major difference being that you can Roost any time after and not lose your ramp up. You also don't run your face into one of the seven types that resists Bug.

Stick with Bug Bite/Aerial Ace.
