After the storm passed, he saw a shadowy horned figure in the mist beckon to him, and he follows the him - who doesn't leave any footprints. After being led to a path down the mountain, the figure is nowhere to be seen, but the man calls out his thanks.
The first time I saw glalie the first thing I thought of was that story - large horned figure, ice type, leaves no footprints because lol no feet.
