>>20064523Weather Wars was far worse than dragon spamming in B2W2 meta. For a while, Kingdra was considered more powerful than Garchomp, mostly because Swift Swim + Drizzle on Kingdra made it god almighty of OU before it got banned.
Dragons have their counters, too. Even Garchomp. Ice just needed more of a buff to keep them in check, like making Ice resist Dragon. Fairy type had no reason to even come into the game when most Dragons weren't god-mode.
And, again, Garchomp doesn't suddenly make Druddigon, Altaria, and Flygon OP. Gen 6 tried introducing a ton of Dragons now that they're supposedly balanced, but all of them are shit, whereas Goodra is mediocre, and Noivern is hanging on because of Boomburst and Boomburst alone. Now we have a bunch of shit and mediocre Dragons, and only 2 non-legendary Dragons in OU, one of which is only strong because it's got Lugia's hidden ability.
