Im looking for something kinda specific that Im not sure exists; a hack of GSC that allows you to do the kanto gyms in order of RBY.

Alt a remake of RBY but using the GSC engine. Something about the FRLG remakes doesnt sit well with me.

im certain there are challanges set up to be completed at specific times and you cannot advance to the other gyms until then. something about cerulian gym has a part of the powerplant and you cannot advance until you collect the part from misty

You don't get the part from Misty you find it inside of the Gym.
You don't actually have to do the gym.
Anyway you can do them in whatever order you want.
