So, what are some of the best defensive non-boxart-legendary mons? I plan on competing in the next online tourney and would like something that can take hits from Uber mons.

So far I have Hippowdon listed, but I'd rather have a mixed wall.

Hippowdon is one of the best mixed walls, but it really depends on what you're trying to take a hit from. If you're going for a bulky offense teams you need to build an entire team around being able to tank hits from certain mons.

Well I do have Choice Specs Dialga, offensive Ghost Arceus, and Choice Scarf Reshiram as my choices for uber sweepers, too bad I can only pick two, and I chose to have the two as my sweepers.

Anyway, I do plan on it taking hits from Ubers it doesn't have STAB weaknesses against like Kyogre or Dialga. I do expect to see Groudon so it'll take a lot of hits from Fire types.

Yeah, same here. I wanted to play the suspect ladder just to see what it would be like without Aegislash, but people are spamming the dominant strategies that are otherwise fucked by Aegislash so I can't use a team that's built for general purposes. I might have to build a team specifically to counter stuff like Heracross and Gardevoir just to get the reqs.

anyone else entering the PGL tournament next weekend? Wanted to make a hax team but it turns out shaymin-s can't enter. Still unsure what sort of team to make. I've seen a lot of rain teams but hardly any TR ones or sun ones. Wonder if m-houndoom + groudon would work out well. Any reason to use arceus-fairy over xern?

Sun would be really anti-meta now, but since many people are just going to go with TopOgre probably, mega houndoom might get wrecked by mach punch. I'd recommend searching up articles on nugget bridge about VGC 10, since it is pretty much the same format but with Gen5 adn 6 ubers.
