Just think about it though. It raises Attack, you punch harder. It raises Sp.Att, you throw things harder. It raises Defenseor Sp.Def, you can take more hit or shot being thrown at you. Speed and Evasion makes it easier to outrun and dodge, and Accuracy means you miss less.

If anything, it's give to receive and if you think about how Moody works, that's a pretty sweet deal. Gaining two perks one minute while loosing one, then the next minute you boost the low one and lower another and you've got more if the stat that was originally lowered.
