Content should never be removed, in the remakes things should only be added. The only changes that should be done are things that improve the gameplay. I do agree about the black Team Aqua, they where white in the original so they don't need to be changed. They're more pirate like but that's no excuse to make them black. Small things like Whitney's Miltank being one level lower than in the original games already pissed me off.

I think /vp/ will explode when they make Dawn black in the DP remakes.

It was catchable once you got to Pokemon Tower in Kanto (after third badge), Bell Tower in Johto (before first gym), and in the Old Chateau in Sinnoh (after the second badge). The only game it's been a late-game mon is the route before Laverre City in Kalos (as Haunter).

I wouldn't even mind seeing the E4 with a mega each, Sid with Shiftry, Phoebe with Dusknoir and so on. Trainers and battles were disappointing in X/Y but the online functions greatly improved.

That's not how stat drops work. It would end up being closer to base 70, I think.
Even so, a Mega of a Pokemon with 150/100/65 base defenses, 100 base speed, reliable recovery, and only one weakness probably isn't going to have much trouble staying above 50% health.

Fucker already has Gen6 buffed Facade, best status you can hope for is Sleep. You can't even attempt to use Flame Body slugs or Lava Plume that would boost Facade to 140BP + STAB and now ignoring the attack cut from the burn on it.

However Bulk Up users supported by Hyper Potion and Super Potion should deal with it, so can Torkoal that learns Protect and especially Endure users that appear to be more common. To be frank unless you're nuzlocking using an HM slave or recovery amd switching into a rock or steel Pokemon should be enough to nail his team. You can attempt to Yawn his team and switch into a hard hitter too.

You don't need 6 pokes if you don't go full retard when choosing the types and future movesets of Pokemon. If you use 2 or 3 you can usually brute force your way through using STAB and the odd coverage move.
