Why does Alakazam just kill you or teleport away? It's apparently far more intelligent than a human. Why does it follow the orders of a child?

I always wondered that to.
The next Pokemon game should have a plot centered around Pokemon revolting against their trainers. The message will be that slavery is bad.

Afterwards, all Pokemon games will do away with humans and YOU will be the Pokemon going around challenging other Pokemon to friendly battles.

Why don't the legendaries murder you? It's because you've apparently earned their respect by capturing them.

In Alakazam's case, The only way to get one is to trade it. Think about it, they don't exist in the wild and are only empowered by humans. It's a symbiotic relationship, so why would it want to kill you?
