I did for about 3 months. I'm hype for OR/AS but I can't play X or Y without getting instantly bored. I have the shinies I want, the competitive team I want, the stats I want, and more. This'll likely transition into OR/AS.

Only one team of mons? Get some more mons to play with, the same mons all the time gets boring. I have about 13 boxes of random mons I use to make teams, almost every match I have I use a different team. Besides that there isn't much else you can do, but play something different for a while until your Pokemon urge comes back.

Stop playing the games completely, and when ORAS come out get back into it.
In the mean time, find another game to obsess over, like Animal Crossing, or Fire Emblem, or Smash Brothers.

Shiny hunting hasn't been anything special since Gold and silver first came out and you just ran into that one off colour fucker and thouhgt "Da fuq is up with this zubat" etc

My first was a shiny female level 2 Sentret caught on gold at 8:15am 29 hours of gameplay in.

ive been playing showdown for weeks because ive outplayed bw2, and i dont want to buy a 3ds yet because something might happen
