Take a look at the "deshinyfy" code. It has the added effect of giving your DO and ID to the deshinified poke. All it needs it to give the SID and it should be enough for pokes to be nicknamable.
As for the Pokesav version, I've read it several times here on /vp/ on the two last days and on several topics, so it's either a xbox hueg rumor or some work in progress.
