What are some Pokemon you seem to mistype when you see them in-game?

I often use rock moves thinking Carnivine is part flying.

not an issue of mistyping pokemon, but the type matchup chart. For the longest time I thought Rock resisted Rock, but it turns out it's neutral against itself. I guess I was tricked by lots of Rock pokemon being part Ground and Ground having the Rock resist, but there are tons of Rock pokemon with a second type weak to it and yet I never figured this out until like late into 5th gen.

I think I've mistaken Pokemon like Seel and Shellder for being part Ice but it's only their evolutions.

I've also thought that Golduck was part psychic like the Slowpoke family.

there were no pure rock types in 1st gen, Onix and the Geodude line are rock/ground, Omanyte and Kabutops lines are rock/water and Aerodactyl is rock/flying
2nd gen has Sudowoodo as the first pure rock

For some reason my mind always assumes that Flygon is Dragon, Ground and Flying all at once.

I've battled people who seem to mistype my Pokemon and use the weirdest moves on them. People always seem to assume Luxray is part Dark and that Eelektross is part Flying or Water.

Until rather recently I thought that Grass resists Fighting. Probably because in Gen I almost all Grass Pokémon were Grass/Poison (and some Grass/Bug or Grass/Psychic) and their second type took half damage from Fighting moves.

I also thought that Poison hits Bug super effectively and didn't know they removed.

Me too! I also become confused from the new fairy type and im unsure if pokemon like togepi, jigglypuff and snubull are normal or normal with fairy or suddenly pure fairy.Which is like taking a normal type and retcon it as steel type.
Seriously, Fighting, which used to wreck these pokemon for five-four generations, is now suddenly NFE.
