/vp/, I'm confused. Smogon suggests reflect, light screen, baton pass and yawn for this guy. But what the fuck is the point of baton pass with reflect and light screen? What moves do you guys use?

Its for safe switches, personally I use shadow ball/dazzling gleam just incase I end up relying on espeon

The idea of that set would be to set up screens, yawn something, then Baton Pass as they switch to avoid the sleep from the Yawn so you can see what they switched in and get the advantage on them.

If both you and your opponent switch out the same turn you have a huge advantage due to Baton Pass being an attack.

I think this makes the most sense.

Regular switch happens first, you see what your opponent sends out and then baton pass happens and you can drop a counter.

Obviously baton pass is to gain momentum. If you know your opponent will switch then you use baton pass so they switch out first then you can switch into something that either counters or checks what they bring
