Well here is a story of my biggest Pokemon memory, also a reason why Gen 4 is my favorite gen.
The Diamond and Pearl games both came out a few days before my 12th birthday so naturally I got both versions, one from my parents another from my grandparents. I was so excited to play both of them because it looked like such a fun region.
Well at the same time there was a lot of shit going on in my life, parents fighting, shit going on at school, mom going through drug problems. Whenever I was down I would retreat into those two games, Diamond in particular. Pokemon became an escape for me and a method of coping as well.
I fell in love with the characters, with the pokemon. Just everything about those two games I love. They were the first games where I trained my mons up to level 100 and they were the first games where I beat all of the post game. I think on my Pearl game I clocked in over 200 hours.
So two years later, things start looking up for me and I hear that Pokemon Platinum is coming out. I don't waste any time in getting it, to experience all the memories I made with Diamond and Pearl all over again.
