I reckon/hope they'll retcon Charizard Y into Primal form and keep X as the Mega form.

Not a lot of an aesthetic difference from the normal. (Like Kyogre and Groudon)

Huge difference in appearance, change in type.
Looks more mega-ish than Y compared to the other mega Pokémon. (See Scizor and Heracross)

Same with Mewtwo, but make X the mega and Y the Primal since it looks like Mew more.

Personally hoping for some Unova Megas, considering Diancie eliminated any excuse they had to hold off on them. Chandelure, Volcarona, Haxorus and Bisharp in particular would be nice.

In terms of actual expectations, probably an announcement for the Mega Eon Duo and two/three Hoenn/Kanto/Sinnoh if you count the Gen IV evos Megas.
