>>20126529Look at it this way: Pokemon XY takes up 1.7 GBs of space. 3DS carts can hold up to 8 GBs of space. Given that this game has 721 pokemon, counting Hoopla and Volcanion, it would take either:
A) A lot more content that takes up space. I'm pretty sure D/P were only 32 MB games, but platinum was 128 MB. BW were 128 while B2/W2 were 256 MB. The additional content needs more room.
B) A lot more pokemon. I mean A LOT. The cart is less than 25% full now with 721 + Megas - that's a lot of potential for more pokes in the remaining space.
Of course, those only become a problem if technology doesn't improve. If Nintendo figures a way to up cart sizes to 16 GB, or just upgrade the system entirely, space isn't an issue. Then it would just be up to GF to make more.
Even still, isn't VP working on it's own pokemon game with it's own pokedex? That's already a start if GF were to stop.
