If m-muh patterns continue, Gen VII will probably give a lot of new pokemons since odd-numbered gens usually introduce more new pokemon to the existing pool compared to even-numbered Gens.

Which pokemon evolutionary patterns/family would you like to see continue/stop in the next Gen? What new pattern would you like to get picked up?

>Grass, Fire and Water Starters
Pretty much confirmed. But many appear to want to break from the usual formula. However, I think the best way we could have diversity now is to just simply add secondary typings

>3-stage bug-types

>Regional bird
>implying Noctowl is a regional bird
>implying 2 stage family lines qualify
I hope they make one based on a Garuda. Garudave>Garudair>Garudace. Flying/Fighting or Flying/Fairy?

>Regional rodents/HM slaves
Gnawmster (hamster) and Gobblebara (capybara)?

>Pikaclones
Bunaughty>Harabid (electric/dark rabbit)

>3-stage psychic types
I think we have enough of them right now?

>3-stage (dual?) ghost types
I also think we have enough right now, especially if we include Dusknoir

>fossil mons
Only Gen II so far broke the pattern, so I think it is also a given. Here's hoping for a Smilodon and Glyptodont

>Kaiju-mons
Steel/Poison kaijumon to close the circle please. Rusty Blade is a steel type move that has a high chance to poison and deal critical damage. Rustyke>Rustrike>Rustorm. An ability that hinders/reduces Ground type moves.

>3-stage big bruiser fighting types
I usually prefer three stages over the two-stage ones like Hariyama, Pangoro, etc. I think we could use another one like Machamp or Conkeldurr, but perhaps a really speedy one or a specially-oriented one. I just hope it doesn't overshadow everybody

>3-stage Rock types
Same as with fighting types, I suppose. Then again, we also have Rhyperior and Aggron, so I'm not sure if we'll get another one. Maybe fix Golem first?
