>>20129579I guess my problem is you're being just the same just from the other side.
I enjoy breeding Pokemon, but I don't have a problem with you / whoever using workarounds if you don't enjoy it / can't be bothered.
There's always going to be idiots that cry and whine about how someone else is playing a videogame, just let them be babies in their own little corner blowing off steam.
My position on IVs is - I think they're a good mechanic and it's one that I enjoy when breeding my Pokemon. You may not like how random they are, but that doesn't mean that they're not a good mechanic in some respects.
When it comes to giving players a way to work around them to skip it entirely however I just look at how easy it is get Gen / Clone / Trade nearly perfect Pokemon and how next Gen the breeding process is most likely going to be even more streamlined and think about how if I wanted to skip breeding how really quite easy it would be.
Now I want to make this clear, this next statement doesn't mean stop playing the game or that the way you're playing is wrong etc etc. But when someone talks to me about mechanics in Pokemon and it's clear that they don't like randomness / time consuming nature of:
- Catching rare Pokemon
- Breeding good IVs / Egg Movies / Nature
- Leveling up Pokemon to competitive levels
- Collecting all the TM's so you have access to the moves
- Grinding the battle Mansion so you have competitive items
Then I honestly and respectively wonder if such a person might reconsider why they are playing Cart and consider battling with a simulator because that's A WHOLE LOT OF THE GAME that you potentially don't like.
And it's a lot simpler to use a simulator that was made for the exact purpose of skipping the busywork and competing with other players than it is to change the Cart experience to cater for players who in all honesty, don't seem to enjoy much of the cart gameplay to begin with.
