Here's some speculation for Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby:
AZ obviously left some questions in our head. A and Z are the first and last letters of the modern Latin alphabet, while alpha and omega are the first and last of the Greek alphabet. I think that AZ (or part of his backstory) will play a large role in AS/OR post-game.
