Do what I do.

Draw exaggerated facial expressions in big black marker on white construction paper.

The simplified shapes are more easily recognized.

Since a amie topic has opened up, i'll ask this.

Does anyone know a faster method to raise a pokemon's affection to a full 5 hearts? The method I use is feed them til they're full, play tile puzzle on easy, then repeat.

I have multiple times.
Misdreavus is cute when she's sleeping (as is Doublade).

What you can do is to open amie, leave the 3DS lying, and wait for them to fall asleep.

Alternately, get them asleep or knocked out in battle.

What you need to do is make sure your face is directly facing the light source (desk lamp for example) and your 3DS at a reasonable distance (around 15 inch) and make sure to remove your glasses. Once you register a good sweet spot (the smiley thing at the lower left corner doesn't flash ) hold the 3DS at that exact position and angle.

If you do this well 80-90% of the facial expressions will work flawlessly, the rest won't work because they're out of our control (mouth/eye size) but good lighting still helps tremendously.

Pet them till they don't release hearts anymore.

Play Head It Unlimited twice, score 100 each time, easy as fuck. Receive 3 of those Pokepuffs that give 5 hearts for each game.

Feed Pokemon till full. Repeat.
