i've only found two random encounter shinies and haven't hatched any. i've been pretty unlucky with the new rate (no shiny charm but i have a 6iv german ditto so).

I didn't care much about shinies in the first place, but now that they're so common (gotten 6 or 7 already in Y) I couldn't care less. Plus I either get shinies of Pokémon I don't care about or whose shinies are ugly, or I get shinies of Pokémon I like while I'm still in the middle of breeding them and they have shit IVs/no egg moves/wrong nature.

I understand. Ive passed up a shiny geodude and zubat in hordes just because i didnt want to use a reset bag on EV training. After getting the shiny charm i tend to see a shiny in hordes every 10 or so battles.
