I could get a smartphone in an instant, my father even asked me if he shouldn't buy me one, but I don't see the need. Once I had forgotten what room a lecture was being held in at college so I had to walk back to my home and turn on the computer to check the timetable, and then return to the campus. A smartphone would indeed have come in handy here. But it was an isolated incident and I've never else needed one.
