>>20206143Well in Verlisify's case, he makes money and gets the jollies out of making his stupid fanbase (which mostly consists of people who are new to multiplayer battling that came in on the wave of XY) hate Smogon by feeding them misinformation and telling them about how they bully him, when in reality he's just being a cunt spouting terrible arguments about things he knows nothing about and picking twitter and youtube comment fights when someone tells him he's wrong. This feeds into his victim complex and makes his stupid fanbase want to defend him even more.
It's like if some radio host in the US starts talking about how Canadian politics are shit by comparing them to US politics (which he doesn't even understand), and people from Canada tells him he knows nothing about their government and tells him to fuck off. But oh, look at how those Canadians are so hostile! And then a group of dumb Americans want to bomb Canada, all because this one guy they were listening to this uninformed radio host.
