>>20209247In the case of most things in gen 6, the "natural counters" were just as harmful to the majority of the metagame as suspected broken mon. The guy who cited evasion as a counter to BP chains is a clear example of this. It doesn't counter it, it makes it stronger, and BP chains could have easily won over evasion by giving Sylveon Swift instead of Stored Power. Making a tier an arms race of broken garbage doesn't make it balanced, especially when only the top 15 or so mons are viable while the rest of the mons that are OU by usage alone sit there and take it up the ass from everything that eclipses them in power.
And oh boy was BW2 OU a pandora's can full of worms. The simple weather nerfs GF instated in gen 6 did more to make OU balanced than any of the gen 5 bans, because the mechanics were just kind of borked.
