If I was to breed for Hidden Power Fire on a Greninja, is it easiest to gen a ditto with the IV spread desired and breed that way? Or just breed with a 6iv and hope for the best?

the ditto will never give all of it's ivs. so having a ditto with hp fire spread won't make it easier. it's easier just to breed a bunch of 5ivs and test them. if you have two 5iv froakies to breed together it should only take forever.

i will kind of agree with this. hp always strikes me as a waste of time. rather than ham fisting type coverage into a mon i prefer to build teams that don't need it. mons who need it most desperately are kind of flawed to begin with.

One, i got it on accident. I wanted a shiny greninja. Not a shiny HP Fire greninja. Didnt know it was useful til i read around, then checked mine.

Heres a real battle with my friend in rotation. Look at what my hp fire greninja does and you will see having this coverage is very good.

so hp fire greninja can't have perfect speed or special attack. you can subtract two from any of those numbers and it doesn't change btw.

so 29/30/31/30/31/30 is still hp fire.

Not him, but if you breed two 31/31/31/30/31/30 (HP Water) pokes, any offspring that has HP Fire is guaranteed to be 31/x/31/30/31/30. It saves time checking IVs more thoroughly if you don't have instacheck.
