Most teams have wide coverage to deal with a variety of opponents, but when it's six of the same type it's usually just one big hurdle to overcome and then an easy finish, because people don't anticipate mono
So throw in some rocks and some bugs like Crustle or whatever

I've messed around with mono-Poison and it's not that hard at all to beat loads of OU teams

You can also run defog if you want, because fuck rocks. Galvantula high base speed but fragile give it a focus sash or a balloon. Energy ball is great coverage sticky web and thunder are good. Get rid of thunder wave and put in volt switch. Durant I would straight up cut for something else. Volcarona would be a good replacement. Vivillon is a very fun lead sleep powder quiver once then just spam hurricane etc. You want a focus sash on it. Shuckle wants lefties. Rest toxic is okay maybe power split and an attacking move. Heracross. EQ and CC are fine. Pin missile over megahorn with it's miss chance. Last spot goes to either seed bomb or rock blast.

Chesnaught has Quick Guard, also Cradily can stop it somehow by its own.

And for OP...
Escavalier and Scyther are able to get Quick Guard, you can bait a Brave Bird by having a Heracross out that can give so menace, block it with Quick Guard and KO Talonflame with Rock Blast.

Remember that no matter how much you use Quick Guard / Wide Guard, they don't fail like Protect in Gen VI.

It's not OP. Every balanced team will have a counter to it just by virtue of having something to stop a strong physical pokemon and putting entry hazards up.

It just really crowds a lot of really cool pokemon out of the meta.

Name one and I'll tell why it's shit, or why it's good but doesn't have a lot of usage. Cause Talonfalme is a revenge killer, and it already revenge kills quite a lot of popular pokemon (Keldeo, Greninja, Scizor, etc.) but doesn't impact their usage because they're good.

I've been running a mono-bug team for the past 6 months now. Mega Pinsir is OP as fuck, Mega Scizor is really not a huge upgrade on regular Scizor imo. Also consider running SR to cripple pesky flying and fire types.

I said that for Doubles just because with a group of friends we're going to make some Gym federation (name yet to be decided) in ORAS and the battles will be either Doubles or Triples. Because everyone has to specialize either by Egg Group or by Type, I picked either Fight or Bug so I was looking for some ways to deal with the Flying-Attacks spam.
