Also, I like taking full advantage of this thing's monstruous speed as it's able to outspeed scarfers under base 80, which can be very useful. That's also why I have protect. Gets past the first turn of mega evo. But I might swap for HP Ice.
As for the Excadrill, it's not weird at all (this spread I got on smogon actually). It's not meant to be an all out attacker in this team. All of the other members are strong enough as is, so I'm just relying on him to spin, sponge electric, poison, etc.
Also it's bulky and has Mold Breaker to help get rid of Rotom Wash.
56+ Attack hits hard enough for a more support oriented role. So there ~
