Does something need to be done to fix the so-called 'hax'?

More and more lately I've been seeing people crying about it and denying people of their victories despite the hax being out of their control.

Can something be done?

I feel hax is fine, but things like %90 accuracy moves missing all the time or things like iron head flinching 3 times in a row is stupid

I think he'd prefer pseudorandom rng where if a miss occurred you'd be more likely to hit next turn, or after x number of turns a crit would be more likely, like Dota 2

Yeah, I could buy that. Make the hax balanced. Give both sides the same number of crits. If you are fully paralysed 3 turns in a row, make the opponent miss a few times. Stuff like that.

Sure, it all evens out in the long run right now, but it's not as fun to have battles where one side gets completely shat on by RNG, even if that side has its hax balanced out in later battles.

Too bad this will never happen because game freak

It's not like this game has many ways to bring hax in a battle, it's all about

>missing: balance accuracy and power, they already did something like this with meteor mash
>para/confusion/sleep: easily reworkable
>secondary effects: removing these and introducing more Icy wind like moves can only make the game better

The only thing I can say is to have a "cooldown" on flinching, so if you flinch twice, you can't flinch for the next two turns?
other than that, hax breaks up the monotony and adds that bit of suspense when battling

Hax needs to be a part of the game for sure. I think they could lower the crit chance a bit though. A 1 out of 20 or out of 25 chance seems a lot more reasonable to me. Maybe lower scald and rock slide's effect chance to 20% as well. Everything else is pretty okay imo.

this is just you being close minded. It's not that hard to imagine this game without hax and more strategy, even just changing hax abilities to something more strategic like gooey would be better without removing any fun

Okay well yeah you could take out hax completely but you lose a significant amount of the excitement in pokemon. Luck has been a significant part of competitive pokemon. Even in tourneys, players take crits into account during a battle.

Without hax things like Sigyliph would be unstoppable after they set up. Although that might be fair if they've earned their boosts, it makes the game less exciting.
